Transferring
to the major:
INTERNAL TRANSFERS:
A minimum QPA of 3.2 is necessary to transfer into Architecture. In addition, students must take all four freshman architecture courses (World Arch 1 & 2, Manual and Digital Representation) in the appropriate order and receive a B- or better to proceed as a sophomore. Failure to take these classes will result in the student being considered a freshman within the architecture program (the student may be sophomore in terms of the number of credits, but they will still have the full five-year architecture curriculum to complete).

EXTERNAL TRANSFERS:
Full-time Architecture faculty members (Professors Thrush, Bacon, Cromley, Wiederspahn, Love and Zell) may evaluate non-studio courses for conformity with NU requirements using transcripts and course descriptions. Any student seeking studio course credit (drawing, technology or design) must present a portfolio for review and evaluation.

Progress in the major:
A minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required to remain in the major. To graduate a student must have a 2.5 in Architecture.

* Students below these averages will not be allowed to continue in the major.
